Jane Glue's inspiration for the Golden Rockpools came from her painting of the same name.  One of my favourite places in Orkney is The Brough of Birsay. There is a pathway which you can cross at low tide to reach the brough and either side of the pathway are the most beautiful rockpools. On this particular day the bright sunlight turned the rockpools into this wonderful golden yellow colour, so she felt inspired to paint them!
